THE COMPETITION:

Art in a Day is a competition where artists have just one day to capture the character and identity of Parnell, Newmarket or Grafton.  The event took place on Saturday 11th February 2017. Artists made their way to one of three designated locations around Newmarket, Parnell and Grafton to spend the day painting or drawing outside before returning their finished art works to the Jubilee Building in Parnell at the end of the day. This year, Parnell Farmers’ Market had community activities including art demonstrations and children’s activities. The public were also able to view the artists at work at the three locations. Click on the images below to find out where the artists  painted.
